University of Maryland Basketball Performance Center

Challenge

Prior to this facility opening, the University of Maryland Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams utilized the Xfinity Center for practices and training. Unfortunately, many other sports, such as volleyball and wrestling, also used this facility, so the basketball teams were always competing for practice and training time. Also, Maryland was one of the only schools in the Big Ten Conference without a dedicated practice facility.
